Come join the Junior Miss Queen's Color Fun Run!! This is a 5K Color Fun Run for all ages beginning and ending at the Patoka Park on Bond Avenue. Check in begins at 9:00 a.m. to pick up an individual packet of color to be thrown at the beginning of the race which starts at 10 a.m.  Color stations will be set up along the route for more fun!

Don't run?  No problem! You can walk, skip, jog or run your way through the color stations. Your Junior Miss Marion County Fair Queen, Aubri Landreth, would like to invite everyone to join her to raise awareness for alopecia areata. She wants to have a run full of fun and fellowship while supporting a good cause. If you are a more serious runner there will be medals given to the first three that cross the finish line.

Aubri's goal is to raise awareness for alopecia areata through the Color Fun Run. She was diagnosed with alopecia areata a few weeks after winning the Junior Miss Marion County Fair Pageant. It was devastating news to a then thirteen year old. She is currently getting injections to stimulate hair growth when spots occur. Aubri is well aware that each person battles through their own alopecia journey in different ways. It's an autoimmune disease that affects people differently and is very unpredictable.

Many people embrace the beauty of baldness while others choose to use a wig. Besides alopecia there are many others dealing with hair loss for various reasons which is why she is using the money raised to help people purchase wigs no matter the reason it's needed. She has teamed up with Michelle Yount, owner of Head Lines Hair Designs in Salem, to help with the cost of wigs she offers at her salon with the money raised at the race. She is excited to host this event to raise funds for a cause close to her heart.
