The CAA Visitors’ Center & Museum, housed within the historic Kamp Store building, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  While the majority of its award-winning exhibits focus on the fascinating prehistory of the lower Illinois River Valley, the Museum also features exhibits about the historical period in Illinois and the history of the Kamp Store itself.

Our Gift Shop features a unique assortment of gifts for people of all ages, including CAA logo apparel and merchandise, postcards, handcrafted Peruvian gourd ornaments, nostalgic toys, Trisha Waldron jewelry, and much more.  Be sure to check out our CAA Publication Series and grab a copy of Koster: Americans in Search of their Prehistoric Past while you’re visiting!
