Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens preserves, protects and interprets Rockford's authentic history, heritage and culture to promote community and economic vitality.

TSCM is widely recognized as the site where the threads of Rockford's early history are woven together to provide a context for growth and development.

Tinker Swiss Cottage is a historic house museum located in the heart of Rockford, Illinois. The museum complex contains the historic house museum, barn, and carriage house from the Tinker family. In addition, the property is the home of the founding site of Rockford and contains a Pre-Columbian Native American conical mound.

The museum collection contains over 10,000 objects with over 99% of the collection obtained from the original objects of the occupants of the Tinker Swiss Cottage.

My Cousin Debbie and I went there for one of the ghost tour on a Friday night on (11/01/2013) I was walking around taking pictures. Got home started looking through my pictures I couldn't believe what I saw. I was like. OH MY GOSH!! I called the guy and told him what I seen in my photo . I got in my car and took my phone right over to him. He seen up in the balcony was 2 ghostly figure's in the photo I asked who do you think they are, he said the samething I thought who they were. Jessie Dorr and Mr Tinker. I couldn't believe I took that picture. Unbelievable!!
